Rory Lees-Oakes

Co-Founder & Academic Director Rory is a qualified counsellor, clinical supervisor, and author dedicated to maintaining the academic integrity of Counselling Tutor’s courses and resources. His extensive experience in counselling education ensures high-quality training and comprehensive learning materials.

Lucy Mosha

CEO, People & Process Manager Lucy directs Counselling Tutor with an emphasis on growth, integrity, and innovation. She has 17 years of director-level experience in IT outsourcing, specializing in scalable process development. Outside of work, Lucy enjoys equestrian activities and community projects.

Kenneth Kelly

Co-Founder & AI in Counselling Lead Ken Kelly works at the intersection of counselling, psychotherapy, and ethical AI. He is co-founder of the Expert Reference Group (ERG) on AI in Counselling and Psychotherapy and the author of the AI & Therapy Critical Thinking Matrix, a UK-focused framework supporting safe, ethical decision-making. His work centres on helping practitioners engage with AI in ways that protect client confidentiality, uphold professional ethics, and keep human judgement at the heart of therapeutic practice.

Colette Kelly

Tech & Support Colette oversees technical support at Counselling Tutor, ensuring seamless access to courses and resources. Her role is vital in the smooth operation of our platforms and she is the welcoming voice on the Counselling Tutor Podcast.

Laurice Chavez

Marketing & Sales Manager Laurice manages marketing and sales, making sure courses reach and effectively serve practitioners. Her role is crucial in the development of training materials, ensuring counsellors have access to high-quality education.

Maria Soriano

Support & Fulfilment Maria provides customer support and manages fulfilment at Counselling Tutor, ensuring members have smooth access to courses and resources. With a background in electronics and communications engineering, she brings valuable technical expertise to her role.

Christine Shore, MBACP (Snr Accred)

Clinical Supervision Head Tutor and Assessor Christine is a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor, ensuring the academic quality of training and assessments. With a background in teaching and management, she works closely with the Academic Director to support students throughout their educational journey.

Paul Cullen

Academic & Community Coordinator Paul is a qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor with experience in mental health, substance misuse, and neurodiversity. He runs an online practice and is actively involved in supporting Counselling Tutor’s learning community, particularly in the Online Supervision Training course.

Piper Watmough, BA (Hons)

Content Manager Piper creates and manages content across Counselling Tutor’s website, YouTube channel, and social media. She puts together articles, produces videos, and prepares lecture handouts and podcast show notes, with a focus on making counselling theory clear, accessible, and genuinely useful. Piper enjoys shaping content that supports students and practitioners at every stage of their learning journey.

Christine Shore, MBACP (Snr Accred)

Clinical Supervision Head Tutor and Assessor Christine is a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor, ensuring the academic quality of training and assessments. With a background in teaching and management, she works closely with the Academic Director to support students throughout their educational journey.

Paul Cullen

Clinical Supervision & Autism-Informed Tutor Paul is an online-only counselling practitioner with specialist experience in drug and alcohol misuse, grief, and loss. He brings a strong background in mental health training and has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients through informed and thoughtful practice. Alongside his clinical work, Paul is trained in online counselling and clinical supervision, supporting ethical and effective practice in digital therapeutic settings.

Sally-Anne Armitage, MA Psych, MBACP (Accred)

Trauma-Informed Practice Tutor Sally-Anne is a trauma and PTSD specialist with over 15 years’ counselling experience and around 8,000 client hours. Her work includes supporting police officers, veterans, and people with experience of the criminal justice system. She holds a postgraduate diploma in supervision and has over 20 years’ teaching experience. Sally-Anne is trained in online, telephone, and Walk and Talk therapy, and is a neurodiversity-informed practitioner with lived experience.

Nora Allali-Carling, MBACP, NCPS (Accred)

Trauma-Informed Practice Lead Tutor & Autism-Informed Tutor Nora holds a Certificate in Advanced Supervision and brings a strong interest in faith-based and culturally sensitive counselling. She has clinical experience within NHS GP practices and St Christopher’s Hospice, and her work is informed by published research in grief, loss, and bereavement. Alongside this, she has over 20 years’ teaching experience in Further Education and is currently completing an MSc in the Neuroscience of Mental Health.

Maria Scholes, MBACP

Clinical Supervision Tutor Maria is an integrative counselling practitioner with a humanistic foundation. She is certified in online and telephone counselling and is also a qualified coach. She brings a strong commitment to learning and professional development, which informs her work with both clients and practitioners.

Nicholas Lunt, MBACP

Clinical Supervision Tutor Nicholas brings over 30 years’ experience in third sector leadership, with a strong background in community-based mental health services. Alongside his leadership work, he maintains a quality-focused private practice as a counsellor and clinical supervisor. He brings extensive experience in training and clinical supervision and is recognised on public professional counselling registries, supporting practitioners to develop reflective and ethical practice.
Chantal Shires

Chantal Shires, MBACP (Accred)

Clinical Supervision Tutor Chantal is a counsellor and supervisor with specialist experience in addictions and eating disorders. Her background includes work within EAP settings and IAPT services, supporting clients across a range of complex presentations. She is a qualified hypnotherapist and is currently completing Level 7 training in clinical supervision. Her wider background in social policy and criminology informs a thoughtful, contextual approach to her work.
